Peter Gell holds a degree of Master of Taxation from the University of New South Wales and is a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Peter advises a range of industries, including the clubs, charities (club based and rural based), property development, bus, motor dealers, insolvency and accounting industries principally on capital gains tax, GST and issues concerning complex corporate structuring.

Peter was a member of the GST technical committee of the Law Society of New South Wales formed in the lead up to the introduction of the GST and is currently a member of the Law Society's tax team. Solicitors who have tax issues arising in work are referred to Peter by the member services section of the Law Society for assistance.

Over the years Peter has also been presenter of numerous papers at seminars presented by the Law Society, Young Lawyers, the State Legal Conference primarily on commercial and tax issues.
